Zoomlion’s first German loader cranes
18 September 2025

Chinese crane and construction equipment manufacturing giant Zoomlion has delivered its first German-built hydraulic loader cranes.
The new articulating boom cranes were built at the former Wilbert tower crane factory Zoomlion acquired at the end of 2018. It changed the company name from Wilbert Tower Cranes to Zoomlion earlier in 2025.
The ZLK7600V803 articulating loader crane was mounted on a European-built Scania truck and destined for a customer in Slovakia.
Factory upgrade
Zoomlion spent more than €50 million upgrading and expanding the 60,000 square metre factory to build hydraulic truck cranes and concrete machinery, in addition to tower cranes. The forecast is to build more than 1,000 construction machines a year worth US$300 million at the plant located in the Rhineland west of Frankfurt.
The Chinese giant already has 13 research, development and manufacturing centres outside China. It operates in more than 170 countries.
