W.O. Grubb, a Richmond, Virginia-based provider of specialty equipment, lifting, rigging and heavy haul services, named Ted Redmond as chief executive officer and Dustin Fisher as chief financial officer.
The company operates 13 branches across the Mid-Atlantic and employs around 450 people, backed by private equity firm Halo Partners.
Redmond previously served as president and CEO of NCSG Crane & Heavy Haul Services, more than doubling the company’s revenue ahead of its sale, and as EVP and chief operating officer of Black Diamond Group’s largest operating segment.
Fisher joins W.O. Grubb after a more than two-decade career at The Hertz Corporation, most recently as CFO of global operations.
The appointments come as Michael Good, who led Grubb since 2016 following a 30-year career at AmQuip Crane, moves into the role of SVP of operations.
Grubb also appointed Albert “Al” Bove and Brad Creswell to its board of directors. Bove spent more than five decades in the crane rental industry, including as CEO of both AmQuip Crane and Maxim Crane Works. Creswell, co-founder of Seattle-based NCA Partners, brings more than 40 years in private equity and finance, including prior work with NCSG Crane & Heavy Haul Services.
The company also added Bora Welsh as head of financial planning and analysis, James Bryan as controller and Bill Smith as VP of risk management.
