Potain tower cranes for Indian construction

Indian construction equipment company SJ Contracts has taken delivery of a Potain 5 tonne capacity MCT 85 tower crane.

The crane has a maximum radius is 52 metres and it has a maximum tip capacity of 1.3 tonnes.
It offers all its mechanisms with variable-frequency drive as an option. Performance is strong too, the company said.
For example, when fitted with the standard issue 25 PC 13 hoist, the lifting speed can reach a maximum of 71 metres per minute.
Crane fleet
SJ Contracts fleet consists of 23 Potain tower cranes. Its fleet contains 12 MCi 85 cranes, three Potain MC 125 cranes, and eight MCT 85 cranes. For projects where it needs larger cranes, it rents them.

One example is the Malpani Agile jobsite, where S.J. Contracts has rented an MCR 160 luffing jib crane and an MC 310 K12 from SORIL Infra Resources.
