Smoother and faster delivery from Germany to Poland

“It seems the heavy transport crisis in Germany has ended,” commented Ilya Goncharov, 3PL Group global project manager for industrial projects, after his successful recent project moving a load from Germany to Poland.

A Chinese-made automotive stamping press and associated components weighing a total of nearly 100 tonnes were transported from the port of Hamburg in Germany to Skawina in Poland.
Quicker from start to finish
Preparations took almost five months from first touch to the project’s realisation in early May, Goncharov said. “It took three weeks to get a permit for the 65 tonne cargo in Germany and around five weeks for the one in Poland. It seems that the German heavy transport crisis has ended,” Goncharov said.
For the main load 3p Logistics used a special lowbed modular 8 axle Goldhofer trailer pulled by a four axle heavy truck tractor. Over its 900 km route the project also required a route survey, bridge surveys, pilot cars, and police escort cars, Goncharov explained.
In total there were four trucks carrying 11 loads weighing a total of 97 tonnes. Total weight of the heaviest loaded truck was 125 tonnes.
