Ford Power Products has launched its first two hydrogen-fuelled internal combustion engines into industrial markets. Ford said the 60 kW-rated 4.2 litre V6 H21CE and the 140 kW 6.8 litre V10 H21CE Turbocharged are ideal for airline ground support and power generation applications. The introduction of the new engines parallels Ford Motor Company's introduction of a hydrogen-powered, 12-seater shuttle bus with a 150 mile range. Hydrogen powered internal combustion engines reduce CO2 emissions by 99.7 %, said Ford. The first Liebherr HS 895 HD hydraulic crawler crane with dragline attachment debuted in the US in January. Weber South FL, based in Fort Meyers, Florida, is using the 40000 lb (17.8 kN) dragline class machine with a 71/2 cubic yard. (5.7 m3) bucket to excavate blasted lime rock from a 45 ft (14 m) lake in a ten-year project to create a 280-acre (1.32 km2) lake.
