At the new J.K. Spruce 2 power plant under construction in San Antonio, TX, Zachry Construction has been utilizing its new Liebherr LR 1130, a 150-ton capacity lift crane. The new plant is being constructed adjacent to three existing coal-fired generation units in the complex. At 750 MW, the J.K. Spruce 2 will be the largest of the coal-fired units at the Calaveras site, and will be equipped with state-of-the-art emissions-control technology.
