Anker expands fleet with city crane

Lüneburg, Germany-based crane service provider Anker has taken delivery of a Tadano Demag AC 45 City, following its Tadano ATF-220-5.1 being put into operation a few months ago.

Anker notes the compact design and larger degree of versatility as key reasons for the purchase

Anker’s general manager Jens Anker picked up the new crane at the Zweibrücken plant in person from Tadano sales manager Thorsten Dietzel.

“The City cranes from Zweibrücken have been a mainstay of our fleet for a long time now. We got our first City in 1999. These cranes are unbeatable as far as we’re concerned,” said Anker.

Anker notes the compact design and larger degree of versatility as key reasons for the purchase as well as the runner, which can be used to telescope loads of up to 25 tonnes. The crane will be used primarily for installing overhead cranes when constructing industrial facilities.

Complete fleet

The ATF-220-5.1, with a 68 metre long main boom, is now an established part of the fleet, mainly used to erect tower cranes and install roofing at long radii.

Other Tadano cranes in Anker’s fleet include an AC 30 City and an AC 40 City, as well as two HK 40 truck mounted models, plus ATF 70 and ATF 100 all terrains.
