Caldwell expands with new Beloit facility

Caldwell, a material handling and lifting equipment manufacturer, has expanded its operations with the addition of a new 53,000-square-foot facility in Beloit, Wisconsin, USA. This marks the company’s third site, complementing its two existing locations in nearby Rockford, Illinois, USA.

A new building in Beloit, Wisconsin, will serve as the Caldwell Group’s offices and primary training center.

The new site, strategically located on State Street, comprises a three-story building on one side and a two-story structure on the other, connected by additional office space and supported by integrated electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.

“It is going to allow us to grow our company, host sales and training events and get our business team all under one roof,” said Doug Stitt, president and CEO of Caldwell. “Because the building and everything in it were in such great shape, including conference rooms, we were able to move in right away.”

The company has experienced remarkable growth over the past year, expanding its workforce from 120 to nearly 200 full-time employees. The new facility not only accommodates this growth but also represents a personal milestone for Stitt, a South Beloit High School and Beloit College alumnus.

“The new Beloit facility will serve as our primary training center. Even as businesses face increased costs, investment in training must continue. We look forward to building on our history of training and expanding into different forms across our product lines,” Stitt added.
