A mixed bag this week, including a crane market outlook starting with a question: Will 2025 bring a rebound?

A challenging 2024 saw construction equipment sales fall globally, with declines of 10 to 20 percent in many countries.

The slowdown was primarily due to high interest rates. With interest rates expected to ease in 2025, however, is the crane market poised for a rebound?

Specialist forecaster Off-Highway Research anticipates an upturn in the latter half of the year, alongside strong demand for compact machines in Europe and North America, and larger equipment in emerging markets.

This shift in demand is expected to reignite the market, especially as fleet owners who delayed purchases during the downturn begin to invest again. Full forecast.
