Making its debut at Link-Belt's CraneFest last month was the all new TCC-450 45 ton telescopic crawler crane. Built in partnership with its sister company, Hitachi Sumitomo Construction Crane Co., the TCC-450 is a North American_compliant derivative, merging the capability of a rough terrain crane with the mobility and stability of a crawler crane. The TCC-450 features a 33 - 105-ft (10 - 32 m) Link-Belt exclusive four-section, box boom. It has 11,000 lbs (4990 kg) of available line pull from the main winch with 18 mm wire rope. A 197-hp (147 kW) Isuzu engine provides Tier 3 power. Optional equipment includes a rear winch with 11,000 lbs (4990 kg) of available line pull and an auxiliary lifting sheave.

“This machine is all crane, not a crane on an excavator crawler,” says Link-Belt's Pat Collins. “It offers the longest full power boom in its class. This crane is generating a lot of interest. We think this is going to be a very successful product.”
